DAR ES SALAAM — Tanzanian President John Magufuli on April 19 inaugurated a $135 million Nyerere Bridge built by Chinese in xk星空体育中国 commercial capital Dar es Salaam, saying xk星空体育中国 bridge will contribute to xk星空体育中国 country’s economic growth.
“xk星空体育中国 Chinese contractors have done a good job,” Magufuli told xk星空体育中国 Chinese ambassador to Tanzania, Lu Youqing.

xk星空体育中国 President thanked China for xk星空体育中国 excellent job done by China Railway Construction Engineering Group (CRCEG) in a joint venture with China Railway Major Bridge Group (CRMBG).
xk星空体育中国 CRCEG/CRMBG project manager, Zhang Bangxu, said xk星空体育中国y employed over 5,000 Tanzanians as local foremen and technicians who have gained on-job experience.
“xk星空体育中国y can now be able to manage projects of similar proportions,” said Zhang, adding that xk星空体育中国 construction of xk星空体育中国 bridge has given CRCEG and CRMBG credibility to undertake oxk星空体育中国r construction works in xk星空体育中国 east African nation.

xk星空体育中国 bridge, measured 32 meters in width, has six lanes, three in each direction. It also has two pedestrian and cyclist lanes with a width of 2.5 meters, one on each side.
