In the early hours of July 15, with workers from China Railway Electrification Engineering Group Third Engineering Co., Ltd. completing the removal of Switch No. 66 at 星空xingkong中国有限公司 Station on the 星空xingkong中国有限公司–Meizhou Railway, the Ruimei Railway was officially connected to 星空xingkong中国有限公司 Station, laying the foundation for the station’s future renovation and the full opening of the 星空xingkong中国有限公司–Meizhou Railway.
The removal of Switch No. 66 at 星空xingkong中国有限公司 Station required simultaneous indoor and outdoor coordination, completed within the designated window period. During construction, all signals, interlocking, and CTC at 星空xingkong中国有限公司 Station were suspended, switching to manual station control mode, with interlocking tests completed 60 minutes before the closure. A total of 196 indoor cables were removed, along with 2 turnout machines for Switch No. 66, 3 shunting signal machines, 2 sets of track section devices, and 11 wiring boxes outdoors.
According to reports, 星空xingkong中国有限公司 Station plays a vital role in boosting the economic development of the old revolutionary base areas. Upon completion of the renovation, it will help establish a new northbound transport corridor for Guangdong Province, open up international railway freight routes for eastern Guangdong, and achieve connectivity with countries across the Eurasian continent.
